About Me
I am the founder of Thea Foundry, a small software studio that makes thoughtful, privacy-conscious apps for families and the ordinary routines that shape a life.
Before that I spent 18 years designing high-scale systems for financial services: mission-critical transaction platforms, data-intensive integrations, and operationally resilient distributed architectures. That craft still shows up in how I build — clear boundaries, observability, and products that stay understandable.
I work with a small self-hosted platform (Supabase, Homebase, shared mail) and write down company standards so the work stays maintainable. I use agents as tools whose output I review, not as a substitute for judgment.
Focus Areas
- Private household software
Focused apps for families, gatherings, and everyday memory. Private by default. Useful before expansive. No feeds, rankings, or reasons to collect more data than the job requires.
- A small, shared platform
Self-hosted Postgres and Auth, a private app home in Homebase, and shared mail and deploy conventions. Shared capabilities only where they improve quality without erasing product boundaries.
- Payments and operational craft
Years on ACH, wire, and real-time flows, fraud and risk integration, and governance for systems that have to stay up. The background, not the current headline.
